Make news item featured images display correctly on the Home page (written instructions)
This tutorial will explain how to make featured images display correctly on the Home page.
Ensure that you are logged into your website. The black admin toolbar should be visible at the top of the screen.
Hover your mouse over the name of your website in the admin toolbar. Select Widgets from the drop-down that appears.
This will take you to the widgets section of the Dashboard. Scroll down to the Home - Main widget areas and use the down arrows on the right of both Home - Main - Widget Right and Home - Main Widget to find the Latest WP Post List/Slider 1 widget.
When you've found the Latest WP Post List/Slider 1 widget, select the down arrow next to its name to see the widget settings
Scroll down to the Number of Items box, and reduce this number to 2 or 3. This means that the News widget will not be too long when the featured image displays fully.
Scroll down through the settings and UNCHECK the Image Fit box.
Scroll down to the Media Size box, and type either large or medium.
Note: You may need to try both to get the best results.
Once you have made your changes, you must click the blue Save button at the bottom of the widget settings box to implement your changes.
Your featured image should now appear fully in the news box on your Home page.
