Add an image (written instructions)
Ensure that you are logged into your website. The black admin toolbar should be visible at the top of the screen.
Go to the page to which you would like to add an image. In the admin toolbar, click Edit Page.
In the page editor, click in the main text box. Ensure your cursor is where you would like your new image to appear.
Click the Add Media button that appears above the main text box.
Drag and drop your new image onto the Add media page, or click on an image that is already in your Media Library.
In the Alt Text box, type your alternative text. Note: alternative text should describe the purpose of the image, not what it looks like. In this example, the image is for a test, so the alt text is 'Test image'.
Once you are happy with your alternative text, click the blue Insert into page button.
Your image is now on the page. To change the alignment of the image, you can choose one of the four alignment buttons that appear above the image when it is selected.
To change the size of the image, and the website to which it is linked, click the pencil icon that appears when the image is selected. This will open the Image details screen.
To edit the size of your image, choose a size from the Size drop-down menu in the Display Settings section.
From the Link To drop-down menu, you can choose to add a link to the image. If you wish to do this select Custom URL from the drop-down menu.
In the URL box below, paste in the link that you would like to add to the image.
Once you have made your changes to the settings on the image, click the blue Update button on the Image details screen. You must do this to save your new settings.
To finish, you must click the Update button in the Publish box, otherwise your image will not save to the page.
Your image will now display on the page, with the settings you have chosen.
