Restoring an alert (written instructions)

Ensure that you are logged into your website. The black admin toolbar should be visible at the top of the screen.

Click on the name of your website. This will take you to the dashboard.

In the left-hand sidebar, click the Alerts button. This will take you to the Alerts section of the dashboard.

To access your deleted alerts, click the Bin link below the title of the section.

From the list of deleted alerts, find the alert you would like to restore, and hover your mouse over it. Click the Restore link that appears. Note: if you click Delete Permanently, you will not be able to restore the alert. Click carefully!The Restore link under the name of a deleted alert.

The alert will disappear from the bin. Click the All link to go back to your list of alerts.

Hover your mouse over your newly-restored alert. Click the Quick Edit link.

On the right-hand side of the Quick Edit menu, choose Published from the Status drop-down menu. Note: all restored alerts are automatically set to Draft. You must set them to Published for them to appear on your website.

Click the blue Update button to save your changes.

Your restored alert will now appear in the Important messages banner. Be aware that it may take a few minutes to reappear on the banner.
